STARWOOD BRAND HOLDINGS
The Name, The Philosophy
Most marketing gets caught in an extreme: either chasing short-term visibility without substance, or building deep craft that nobody ever sees. We named our agency after the tension between two fundamental elements.
Star represents scale, navigation, and ambition—the market presence, clarity, and brilliance required to stand out. Wood represents raw material, tactile craftsmanship, and deep-rooted authenticity—the foundation that ensures a brand isn't just loud, but real.

Core Pillars
The Star Approach - High-visibility strategy, digital positioning, and media execution designed to elevate your brand above the noise and turn heads in crowded markets.
The Wood Approach - Tactile storytelling, deliberate design, and values-first branding that builds lasting trust, community loyalty, and structural durability.

Meet the person behind STARWOOD
Meet Tara Ngo
Tara is the person behind Starwood Brand Holdings, guiding the team with a simple belief: great brands are built on real connections, not just buzzwords.
Her path to leadership started at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, where she earned her degree. At Kellogg, she had the unique privilege of studying directly under Professor Philip Kotler, widely known as the father of modern marketing. Learning from a master of the craft taught Tara to look past quick trends and focus instead on what people truly need, how products fit into their lives, and how to build lasting trust.
Over the years, Tara has taken those timeless lessons and applied them to the fast-moving digital world. Whether she is shaping a campaign for a travel getaway or helping a hospitality brand find its voice, her approach is always grounded and practical. She believes that the best marketing doesn’t feel like marketing at all—it simply tells a clear story and delivers on its promise.
When she isn't working with clients or rethinking brand strategies, Tara keeps things grounded. You will often find her playing a fast-paced game of ping-pong or just hanging out and catching up with her dad and brother. It is also interesting to note that she is the sister of Tiffy Ngo—among the most awarded experts in the field, and a visiting consultant and mentor for Starwood Brand Holdings.
